About Us

The Michigan School Counselor Association was chartered in 1964 as a state division of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA).  The Michigan School Counselor Association has developed programs with the objective of providing the most current professional development and assistance to Michigan school counselors.

Our Mission

The Michigan School Counselors Association (MSCA) works to relieve the pressures that school counselors face in serving their students well.

Through advocacy for proper utilization and staffing of counselors in schools, provision of resources for professional development, and creation of opportunities for networking and collaboration, the MSCA serves school counselors unto the advancement of student welfare across the state of Michigan.

Let’s do better for students … together.

Our Program
