Our Legislative Education Day will be virtual again this year! Please submit this form to register by March 10th. This is a free event to for both MSCA members and non-members. The zoom link will be emailed to you after you register.
Schedule:
8:00-8:30 AM- Time to log in and chat with MSCA board members and other School Counselors!
8:30-9:30 AM- Stephanie Glidden, Associate Lobbyist, will share a legislative
update, introduce MSCA's top legislative priorities and provide talking points for the individual virtual meetings with legislators.
9:30-1:00 PM- Attendees will be scheduled to meet with their legislators at specific times within this time period to discuss the talking points introduced in the morning.*
*Legislative meetings are usually scheduled for 20-30 minutes at a time and you may have a team of counselors from the same region with you for the meetings. Your day will wrap up at the conclusion of your meeting with your legislator in the early afternoon (appointment times will vary).
WRAP UP-Please be sure to complete the Legislative Day Summary google form that will be shared with you the day of the event. This will allow you to give feedback to MSCA as well as let us know how your meeting went. We will randomly select completed summary forms to give our prizes!
