Ethical Considerations
Codes of ethics for professional school counselors provide guidance for sound ethical behavior and decision making when facing complex situations. MSCA has formally adopted the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) Ethical Standards for School Counselors as its code of ethics.
Counselors are also encouraged to review the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice from the American Counseling Association.
