• Use membership feedback to guide PD offerings

Legislative Advocacy

Advocating for school counselors' roles and responsibilities within educational policy and

legislation impacting student success.

• Discuss MSCA hot-topic bills
• Provide updates to members regarding legislation impacting our profession and students
• Coordinate Counselors at the Capitol in Lansing

Meets one Tuesday per month 2:00 pm

Outreach and Membership

Promoting member engagement, recognizing excellence, and ensuring that member voices shape the future of MSCA.

• Manage MSCA communications
• Coordinate board nominations and elections
• Select recipients for awards and scholarships
• Grow MSCA membership to have the strongest 'voice' possible in Lansing
